Weather at Kickof: 55 degrees, partly sunny, winds W 5 mph.

• Talk about a homecoming! On a game in which three injured Rockets re-turned to the lineup, Toledo smashed Miami, 49-28, in its annual Homecom-ing game at the Glass Bowl.

• The Rockets held a 35-7 lead at one point in the frst half, led 35-14 at inter-mission, and coasted from there.

• The running game was especially sharp. Toledo outgained Miami on the ground, 269-14.

• The defense shut down Miami’s running game and forced three turnovers before allowing two meaningless touchdowns late in the game.
